Dam Lines:
Jolene’s dam Bordeaux NZPH is beautifully bred being a daughter of Calvaro out of a Mr Blue mare.
Calvaro had a spectacular career, culminating in competing with John Whitaker at the 2000 Sydney Olympics. Other highlights include: National Dutch Champion. Silver Team Medal winner European Championships, 9th at WEG, GB Grand Prix winner in 1999 & 2000. 2nd in the Monterrey Grand Prix, 2nd Pulsar Crown and 2nd German Classics. Calvaro has a reputation worldwide as a sire of exceptional jumpers. In 2005, alone, 2 horses were sold through the PSI Auction, Cawendo, who qualified for the World Championships for Young Horses and sold for €170,000. Also in 2005 the stallion Chester Z was Bronze Medal winner at the World Championships for Young Horses.
Mr Blue is a legacy in sport horse breeding. Mr Blue enjoyed an extremely successful jumping career being a winning Nations Cup and World Cup mount and was also selected for the Atlanta Olympic Games. However his real success began when he was purchased by GFE and began his stud career. His offspring have proven to be remarkable, producing a range of top level show jumper’s and Grand Prix winner; Plot Blue who carried Marcus Ehning to victory in the 2010 World Cup final in Geneva is perhaps the most successful. His breeding legacy is also being continued through his offspring, such as Zirocco Blue VDL who is following in his father’s footsteps as a world class show jumper and sire.
