Java NZPH is a strong type with great potential.

Java has good paces including a fantastic, balanced canter. He finds free jumping effortless and is showing all the right attributes for a future jumper. He has a great brain being bold, genuine and very easy going. Java is the perfect young horse for any level rider to produce and develop for showjumping.

Sire:

Cicave du Talus transmits quality framework and bone to his foals. His accomplishments in 2019 with Francois-Xavier Boudant at age seven include: 2nd place GP Notre Dame d’Estrees; 5th place GP CSI2* Auvers; 5th place in second qualifier for World Breeding Championships for Young Horses. He not only gained the title of Vice-Champion of four-year-olds at the 2016 French Championships, he also won the Selle Français Masters the same year. He was ranked third in the French Championship for five-year-olds with 17 out of 19 clear rounds. His strength, respect for the course, scope, and carefulness make him a very promising sport horse.

Cicave’s first crop of foals have inherited his robustness in build and good character. He descends from a damline that has produced many great champions, while his grandsire Quick Star is decorated with numerous wins and placings at the Grand Prix level.

Dam Lines:

His dam’s dam is one of NZPH’s foundation broodmare, the imported French mare Mariette. Mariette is sired by Olympic and World Championship show jumper Quat’sous. He competed repeatedly in Nation Cups, CSIO and was a recurring member of the French Showjumping team. He is a well-confirmed stud who transmits his distinction, athleticism, three beautiful gaits, and showjumping skill to his offspring. Quat’Sous has a very good mind that he is renown for passing onto the next generation. After producing a dozen of major winners indexed 150 or more by the Selle Francais studbook, he now stands out as a remarkable producer of dams.

A basic examination of all 12 horses in the NZPH Auction was conducted by Vet Services Hawkes Bay on the 6th January, 2021.

All 12 horses passed a basic clinical examination and were in good general health. X-rays of the two & three year olds were taken, this included front feet, front fetlocks, hind fetlocks, and hocks, which are available on request.

When a request for x-rays has been received by Equus Auctions it will be passed on to Vet Services Hawkes Bay who will then send the x-rays directly onto the prospective bidders chosen veterinarian. This information is confidential and will only be sent to a qualified veterinarian for examination.

Please note this does not constitute a pre-purchase examination and New Zealand Performance Horses, Equus Auctions and Vet Services Hawkes Bay take no legal responsibility. If you wish to conduct a pre-purchase examination you are able to do so at your own expense from the 18th January 2021 – 14th February 2021. The sale of the horse is unconditional from the close of the online auction and pre-purchase examinations cannot be done retrospectively.
