Wherever Zirocco Blue competes all eyes are upon him with his scope, jumping style and efficiency. Under Jur Vrieling he has achieved several very impressive international results. They won the Team Gold Medal at the European Championship and individually were 5th. In the Las Vegas World Cup final they finished 10th. The World Cup of Oslo, the Grand Prix’s of Kopenhagen, Melsomvik (2x) and Geesteren, the Masters in Mechelen – all saw Zirocco wearing the winner’s sash. As a member of the Dutch team they won the Nations Cup of Rotterdam, Kopenhagen and Gijon. In the Dutch Jumping Championship he was 2nd.
Zirocco Blue performs exceptionally well in the sport but also in breeding. 2018 Was the year of the champions for Zirocco Blue. Willem Greve won the championship title with the seven-year-olds in the Blom Cup in Ermelo with Gogo Karla V, but at the World Equestrian Games in Tryon there was much more spectacle for Zirocco Blue. His son Eddie Blue won the golden team medal under Devin Ryan with the American team. Eddie Blue finished second in the World Cup Finals earlier and tied one top performance after the other. A second place in the Grand Prix of Ocala, second in GP Toronto, second in Toronto World Cup, second in Nations Cup of Aachen, second in Nations Cup of Sopot, third in Grand Prix of Devon, and so on. It was not for nothing that Eddie Blue was chosen as the best jumping horse in the United States. This is just a small example of Zirroco Blues many top level progeny.

Ngahiwi One Eye has been a fantastic stallion for New Zealand combining one of our very successful dam lines with a European sire. Ngahiwi One Eye has sired countless Age Series winners, Grand Prix and World Cup jumpers.
Dam Sire’s Sire: Corland VDL
Corland is from the famous Holsteiner Line 104A, which goes directly back to Retsina, a two-time winner of the Hamburg Derby.
Corland had an impressive career under W.J. van der Schans. At the European Championship, Corland proved to all that he belongs in the category ‘the best in the world’. In Nation’s Cup series, he won both qualifiers and had the best results of the Nation’s competition clocking the fastest clear round. In the finals, he was 9th. Additionally, there were the following results: 2nd GP Rotterdam, 4th GP’s Oslo and Den Bosch, 5th GP’s Bordeaux and Maastricht, 6th GP Helsinki, 7th GP’s Zuidlaren, La Baule and Calgary. He also was Champion of the Benelux in The Hague, 7th in the World Cup of Verona and 2nd in ‘The Sires of the World’ in Lanaken.
Corland’s offspring participate at international level and Grand Prix. One of the most famous is the mare Silvana. With her rider Kevin Staut, she was a solid member of the French team, winning the Silver medal at the World Championships in Kentucky and the European Championship of Madrid. Son Apardi jumped at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro and became, among others, 3rd in the GCT of Chantilly. At the WEG in Caen 2014, Corland was represented by two of his offspring: Fardon and California.
More offspring were high placed: Andretti S was 2nd in the WEF Challenge and 9th in the GP Wellington; Hortensia van de Leeuwerk won in Mexico the GP Otomi and was 7th in the GP Coaexpan; SF Ariantha placed 6th in the GP Wellington and won in 2015 the GP Tryon; E Unanime de la Haie won the GP Thermal and was 8th in the GP Langley; and Coco Rico placed 5th in the GP Courland. VDL Torlando and Callan Solem competed in over 100 Grand Prix competitions in the USA and placed 49 times..
