Outstanding young colt of very exciting predigree! Cahoot RF was the champion foal for register 1, overall champion colt and leading colt bred for SJ at the 2022 NZWA Foal Championships. There is no doubt he is something special.

Cahoot is one of the early foals on the ground from the recently imported stallion Cornet’s Air. Cornet’s Air boasts a pedigree of showjumping royalty being sired by Cornet Obolensky, out of a Diarado mare. This is a very exciting cross that will certainly make waves in New Zealand showjumping.

Cahoot’s dam Capriole is the half sister to Capbella who is competed by Alannah Jackson. Her first foal Burley RF is our stunning young stallion. Capriole is sired by Cassini II who is one of the Holstein Studbooks leading sires.

Sire: Cornet’s Air

Cornet’s Air is tall, dark and outstandingly handsome, with a veritable roll-call of legends in his pedigree.
Registered with Oldenburg International, the show jumping breeding department of the Oldenburg Breeding Association. Genetically he is a Holsteiner from Holstein breeding line; Stamm 8888, that have produced top level international performers.

Sire Cornet Obolensky (Clinton x Heartbreaker) has been for years in the top of World Breeding of Sport Horses Ranking, represented by an ever-growing host of champion sons, daughters and grandchildren. Four of his offspring were at the 2018 World Equestrian Games, making him the third most represented jumping sire of the competition, and one of them (Clooney) took home individual silver.

Cornet’s Air was bred by Gerd Küst in Germany. His dam line is extraordinary with four Elite Mares in a row and worthy of highest attention. Dark Air, who is a half-sister of the approved stallions Quiwi Dream (Quidam de Revel) and Zinedream (Champion Stallion Oldenburg 2016) through her dam, Panam Air (Contender – Landadel – Ramiro – Landgraf). Dark Air’s sire, Diarado, was the winner of the Neumünster licensing in 2007, and her dam, Panam Air, is a really special mare, through her and her grandson Cornet’s Air, the blood of the mighty Ramiro and Ladykiller xx is available for Sporthorse breeding in NZ.

He has a superb calm, trainable disposition and a powerful jumper’s canter. His first foals are very impressive.

Dam Sire: Cassini II

Cassini II, the younger full brother of Cassini I, was approved in Holstein in 1996 with a high jumping index. Unfortunately he was injured when young and did not compete in sport although is now sought after as a sire due to his quality and talented offspring. At his Licensing he achieved high scores for his jumping as well as for his character and temperament. Cassini I & II are sons of the great Capitol I. Capitol I was on the top of the WBFSH (World Breeding Federation for Sport Horses) rankings lists 2000-2001. There are over 25 approved stallions by Capitol in Holstein, for example Dobel’s Cento, Carthago Z, Carolus I & II, Calato, Cardento, C-Indoctro, Carano and Clearway as well as the Cassini brothers. Worldwide there are many more approved sons and in Germany alone there are 564 registered sport horses which have won in excess of €5.3 million in prizemoney. Capitol I was a valuable foundation sire in the Holstein stud book.

Cassini II’s dam Wisma is by Caletto II who was awarded Champion of his year when he was licensed in Holstein. Caletto II, one of the best sons of Cor de la Bryere has been a significant influence in jumping breeding even though he only stood for 4 years. He is the sire of Classic Touch who took Luger Beerbaum to win gold at the Barcelona Olympics. Wisma also produced the young Holsteiner Verband stallion Clarimo (by Clearway) along with a full sister to Cassini I & II who has produced the licensed stallion Lovari (by Lasino). Another daughter of Wisma, Mira (by Lansing) is the dam of the licensed stallion Cassaro.
