Beautiful grey filly by a son of Casall, Capatino GNZ, out of a granddaughter of Lansing. Dam Waitangi Hotspot is from Waitangi Sport Horses who have a fantastic repuatation for breeding top quality jumpers and eventers.
Countessa’s sire Capatino GNZ competed very successfully through the age series classes up to 1.40m level and he is renown for stamping offspring with his outstanding temperament. A son of the ‘Sire of Century’ Casall ASK, this pedigree is something remarkable. Casall Ask started out on the international circuit with Sweden’s Rolf Goran Bengtsson in 2008 and has had a prolific career with the rider ever since. Wins include the 2009 Rikstoto Trophy, 2010 Rotterdam Grand Prix and Falsterbo Grand Prix, 2011 GCT Hamburg Grand Prix and Lyon FEI World Cup Qualifier, and 4th individually in the 2013 European Championships. Casall represented Sweden in the 2012 London Olympic Games and qualified for three consecutive FEI World Cup Finals in 2011/12/13, finishing in the top six in 2012 and 2013.
Countessa’s Grand dam Devella competed under the name Arrabella to the old 2* level eventing with Amy Gravatt (nee Sprague).
