Sire: EURO SPORT DARCO OBOLENSKY
ES Darco Obolensky combines two legendary bloodlines of the 21st Century with Darco and Cornet Obolensky. Imported from Belgium after his stallion testing Darco Obolensky is certainly living up to his parentage. Edwin Agterhuis, Trainer & rider for BWP Approval said “Darco Obolensky is a wonderful horse with everything! His temperament is perfect, he is a really good jumper, careful and a lot of scope. Also his ride ability is perfect”. With Darco Obolensky’s first crops of foals hitting the ground, his progeny are exciting horses for the future and Darcos Doll is no exception.
Sire’s Sire: DARCO
Darco’s list of achievements as a jumping stallion is testimony to a stellar career. Partnered with Ludo Phillippaerts since the age of 5, highlights of the duo’s successes include 7th place at the Barcelona Olympics, 2nd at Spruce Meadows/Calgary, 6th in the World Equestrian Games at Stockholm, and countless wins and placings in World Cup and international Grand Prixs. As a competitor, Darco displayed a lot of power and stamina and was described by his rider as an extremely honest, intelligent and careful partner with a solid character.
As a sire, Darco reliably passes on these characteristics to his progeny. Ranked No.1 on the World Breeding Federation’s Jumping Sire list in 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, and again in 2011, many of Darco’s offspring have become household names by virtue of their success in the ring: Parco, Sapphire, King Darco, Otterongo, Fedor, Nonstop, Ublesco, Winningmood, Ogano Sitte etc.
To this day Darco has the most offspring that competed at 1.60m level, a record which no sire has ever achieved since the ranking was first developed in 1995. Moreover, Darco is one of the few sires of the present-day ranking, who previously appeared in these original rankings from 1995. In other words, Darco has been at the top for more than 24 years. Additionally, he has 4 sons appearing in the top 100 of the World Breeding Federation’s Jumping Sire Rankings – Douglas #34, Winningmood #50, Ogano Sitte #54 and Nonstop #87.
Additionally, Darco has led the Sire of Dam rankings for years. This year alone as a damsire, his grandchildren collected no less than 956’826 euros in prize money! Reasons enough to assume, at this time, that Darco is the best jumping horse progenitor ever in show jumping. By virtue of his prepotency as a sire, his impact on the showjumping world will be felt for years to come.
Sire’s Dam Sire: CORNET OBOLENSKY
Cornet Obolensky was one of the world’s best competition stallions. He had 8 wins and more than 80 placings in international competition, and successfully represented Germany on many teams including the Olympic Games. Today, his children and grand-children fly the Cornet Obolensky flag at the top level all over the globe. In 2012, the BWP awarded him the title “Ambassador”, and he is currently ranked #2 on the Horsetelex IPV and Hippomundo rankings, and #4 on the WBFSH ranking.
Dam: BABY DOLL

Dam’s Dam Sire: CLOVER HILL
Clover Hill’s achievements as a sire were outstanding; he ranked 4th in the 2001-2002 WBFSH showjumping rankings, with 39 offspring jumping at International levels.
In Irish, US and UK top sporthorse pedigrees, Clover Hill’s name crops up with amazing frequency. The level of influence that he has had on the quality of the Irish Sport Horse is the equivalent to that of a Cor de la Bryère or Ladykiller in Warmblood breeding; his blood flows in almost all of the great showjumpers of his era, and continues to be reflected in the success of subsequent generations of showjumpers and eventers.
