Sire: CHACCO SILVER
Chacco Silver has made a real impact on the New Zealand Showjumping scene since he was imported from Germany. Chacco Silver is a son of Chacco Blue, undoubtably one of the world’s best jumping sires having topped the Rolex WBFSH Showjumping Sire Ranking for four years consecutively from 2017-2020. Not only does Chacco Silver stand on the shoulders of show jumping’s breeding giants, but he is proving to be one himself. Chacco Silver is siring stunning foals with excellent conformation and a spectacular jump from a wide variety of mares. Chacco Silver stamps his progeny with his athleticism, technique, scope, his powerful canter, excellent conformation and wonderful temperament. All ‘must haves’ if you are wanting to produce a horse capable of winning on the international stage.
Sire’s Sire: CHACCO BLUE
Chacco Blue dominates the 2019 World Studbook Rankings for the third consecutive year with a dozen or more progeny in the world’s top 100. The first of his grandkids are starting to feature too with another of the top 100 by his son Chaccomo. Chacco Blue has the highest strike rate of the top 20 stallions in both the 1.60 & the 1.40+ level. Indeed 40% of Chacco Blue’s off-spring have competed to 140+. Consequently, it is no wonder that he had eight progeny competing at WEG Tryon 2018. Chacco Blue also dominates the 2019 studbook rankings with progeny representing nine of the 48 studbooks. Three of the top six horses in the OS studbook are by him and another is by his son Chaccomo. And four of the top six in the MECKL studbook are by him and another is by Cellestial the dam sire of Chacco Silver. Progeny are also represented in the KWPN, HANN, AES, OLDBG, RHEIN, SCSL, BRAND studbooks.
Sire’s Dam: CHEROWA
Chacco Silver dam Cherowa also has a superior dam-sire in Cellestial. Cellestial is still the stallion of choice for Mario Everse the famous Dutch breeder of such champions as Zinius because he has “good conformation… is a bit uphill and a ‘bloody’ horse… quite modern.” and is the dam sire of the 2019 NZWA Champion foal Flint CSNZ.
Dam: KARLA K
Imported dam Karla K jumped successfully to Grand Prix showcasing athleticism and carefulness before retiring as a broodmare to utilize her exceptional blood. She is sired by the legendary Guidam who fathered 35 international Grand Prix jumpers including an Olympic Gold Medalist, she is out of Picarla, an outstanding career broodmare from Holland whom has truly phenomenal bloodlines featuring super-sires Oldenburg and Joost
Dam’s Sire: GUIDAM
Guidam, has been ranked No.1 in KWPN breeding index and No.1 in USEF jumper sires rankings. He is the sire of 35 Grand Prix and International Showjumpers including Authentic, USA Horse of the Year 2004 and Olympic Gold Medalist – and very much one of the stars of the 2006 WEG in Aachen, Luidam, the 2004 Aga Khan Nations Cup Winner and Liona, ridden by Hervé Godignon who rode Guidam’s sire, Quidam de Revel, to team bronze at Barcelona.
“Guidam possesses, as a stallion, all the genetic qualities of his father Quidam de Revel, but I believe he passes on more rideability to his progeny. The bottom line is that he produces the goods,” says Dutch showjumper and dealer, Paul Hendrix.
In November 2004, Guidam was awarded a ‘Keur’ predicate by the KWPN and was the 2003-2004 leader on the jumping breeding index with an outstanding rating of 171. His stallion sons are at stud in Holland, Germany, United Kingdom, United States and Poland with a high percentage of predicate daughters also at stud.
