“Very biddable, talented eventing, jumping allrounder type!
3-year-old gelding by Arlento (by On the Point Arlington by Parco, 4th Olympic Games Athens 2004) out of a top 1.35m Pony Grand Prix mare. Duffy stands at 156cm and should mature 15.3/16hh.
Duffy is a superb young man who is showing all the traits to be a top level eventing horse or a very fun, easy Junior Rider/ Amateur Rider/ Pro Am mount . He would also equally make a very genuine, fun pleasure allrounder horse. He has just finished a cruisy six week break-in (just having a few very light rides a week due to his age) and is happily trekking out across the farm alone and in groups at walk, trot and canter, and has jumped on two occasions over a couple of logs. His nature is very genuine and kind (although he is naturally a little shy), but due to his age and level of education he does need a semi-capable rider to continue showing him the ropes. That said, with another season or two of riding under his belt this is the sort of horse that will be suitable for almost any level rider.
Duffy is extremely light to ride and jump, showing an effortless form and a very genuine nature. He has a good mouth and a great balanced canter and is a very quick learner.
Duffy is very sound with no vices. He has been carefully raised from birth and has had all the very best care. He is genuine and kind to do everything with and is now looking for a soft, kind rider to continue producing him in whatever discipline sees fit. This gelding would ideally suit a lighter built, kind and compassionate rider who has experience producing young horses. In the right hands, this horse will excel in whatever he does.”
