Equine Dynamics is based in rural Tauranga, and provides Equine Assisted Learning programmes for children, youth, families, schools and organisations. Participants develop essential life skills, with horses as the teachers!
EAL is an experiential programme where participants learn skills to change their lives and to prepare them for their future, improving mental, physical, social wellbeing and creating positive behaviour change. Our programmes are proven, using objectively driven exercises to develop life skills, all without riding, and without therapy (even though horses are very therapeutic). Participants learn life skills and personal development, such as leadership and teamwork skills, empowerment and empathy, communications skills, social and relationship skills, self-confidence, self-awareness, trust and so much more.
Equine Dynamics specialises in youth with challenges or difficulties, so those with a diagnosis, mental illness, neurodiversity, disability, at risk youth, or those having trouble at school or at home, but EAL is hugely beneficial for anyone with a cognitive age of 8 and above.
