Chilli Sunday is a 16.1hh liver chestnut NZ Sport Horse stallion bred impeccably for the job.
His sire, Chilli Morning, was an exceptional international competitor — winner of the CCI5* Badminton Horse Trials and individual bronze medallist at both the 2013 European and 2014 World Championships. Chilli Morning’s progeny are already making their mark, with Chilli Knight claiming the CCI5* at Bicton in 2021 under Gemma Tattersall.
On the dam side, Chilli Sunday’s mother Sonidor was NZ Horse of the Year 6YO Champion and a standout on the NZ Young Rider Eventing circuit before injury ended her competitive career. His damsire Hula Town, a full thoroughbred, sired numerous top-level eventers, including Crusader, who completed Badminton Cross Country.
The result is a stallion with exceptional temperament, correct conformation, genuine scope, and the blood percentage to produce offspring capable of competing at the highest level. A highly desirable cross for Warmblood mares.
