The full package. Strong, powerful colt with great looks, technqiue and a outstanding pedigree. Phoenix is certainly a top prospect for the sport, and also as a breeding stallion.

Pommerol de Muze brings together world’s best showjumping genes and was bred out of one of Belgium’s most famous damlines. Ridden by Harrie Smolders, sire Emerald has been one of the most successful showjumpers in the world for many years and was part of the Olympic team in Rio de Janeiro in 2016. In addition, Emerald won numerous CSI5* Grand Prixs and finished in second place in the World Cup Final. Pommerol’s grandsire Kannan has been in the top ranks of the WBFSH Sire Ranking for years and still produces new talents. At just seven years old this young stud is just starting his breeding and sport career but is already capped to be a future supersire.

Dam Cassiana ECPH was a very talented jumper, unfortunately injury shifted her to the breeding herd. She is sired by the very well known Cassiano, out of Picarla, a maternal sister to the legendary Mr Blue who is sire of Zirroco Blue VDL.

Pommerol de Muze brings together world’s best showjumping genes and was bred out of one of Belgium’s most famous damlines. Ridden by Harrie Smolders, sire Emerald has been one of the most successful showjumpers in the world for many years and was part of the Olympic team in Rio de Janeiro in 2016. In addition, Emerald won numerous CSI5* Grand Prixs and finished in second place in the World Cup Final. Although Emerald did not breed a great number of offspring in his first years, an impressive percentage jumps at international Grand Prix-level. Think of descendants like Igor (Jos Verlooy), Jeunesse van ‘t Paradijs (Lorenzo de Luca), Iluna (Ramiro Quintana), Imerald van ‘t Voorhof (Paul O’Shea), Jaguar vd Berghoeve (Matthew Sampson & Janika Sprunger), etcetera.

Pommerol’s grandsire Kannan has been in the top ranks of the WBFSH Sire Ranking for years and still produces new talents. Further on in Pommerol’s pedigree we find Taran de la Pomme – the son of Tolano van ‘t Riethof who was successful at the highest level with Kevin Staut. Taran de la Pomme is bred out of Ta Belle van Sombeke, so he is the half-brother to Glock’s London (Gerco Schröder) and Golden Hawk (Shane Breen). Then Pommerol’s pedigree goes back to the top stallions Darco, Nabab de Rêve and Chin Chin.

Dam Sire: Cassiano

Cassiano is one of the top Cassini I stallions of the Holsteiner Verband. He combines Cassini I and Calypso II, two legendary stallions of the Holsteiner breed.

Cassiano is a superbly athletic type with a tremendous jump and exceptional technique. He also has extravagant movement. He has produced many licensed stallions and numerous premium mares both in New Zealand and Europe. Cassiano’s progeny speak for themselves having left a real stamp on the New Zealand showjumping and eventing scene.

Cassiano’s mother, Zivia, produced six offspring, four of which were successful jumping Grand Prix. One of these six was Chim Cristo, by Carthago who jumped nationally with Karsten Lauch and later internationally with Andrea Ripke and then on with the Korean rider Son Bong Bak who had an individual 14th placing at the Athens Olympics. Cassiano’s mother has two approved sons, the other one is Carambo now ridden by Arnaud Dobber of Holland.

Dam’s Dam: Picarla

Picarla is a career broodmare who combines some incredible bloodlines which have resulted in her producing multiple grand prix jumpers overseas prior to her arrival in New Zealand. She comes from an incredibly strong dam line, her mother Acarla was a phenomenal broodmare herself who most notably produced Mr Blue. Mr Blue was a World Cup jumper and an Olympic Games mount who also bred many fantastic offspring including one of modern jumping current most popular sires Zirroco Blue VDL.

Picarla’s world class bloodlines include Pionier, Oldenburg and Joost. Their names can be found in the pedigree of countless international jumpers.
