Beautiful filly showing great movement and jump. She is part of the first crop of foals by the upcoming sire Comme Fu, the only son of Comme II Faut in the southern hemisphere.

Comme Fu is a stunning young sire who just finished 5th in the NZ National 5YO Showjumping Championship. His sire Comme II Faut had an extremely successful showjumping career with Marcus Ehning winning at 5* level internationally. His offspring followed closes showing talent for the top sport. Notably in 2018 Comme Il Faut’s offspring, Chao Lee, became Bundeschampion for Jumping Horses and won a prize of over one million Euros.

Carnival’s dam Coachella ECPH is sired by New Zealand’s supersire Corofino ll, who is the sire of the sensational Windermere Cappuccino, who has won multiple World Cup Series, and McCaw MVNZ, who is campaigning very successfully in America at 1.50m level. On the dam side we feature Corland VDL who was reknown for his impressive achievements in competition and through his Grand Prix quality progeny.

Grand Sire: Comme Il Faut

Comme Il Faut was second in the World Championship for five-year-olds at Lanaken, Belgium with Franz Josef Dahlmann in 2010. As an eight year old, Comme Il Faut came to Marcus Ehning in the summer of 2013. From the beginning, the exceptional stallion demondstrated his qualities on the international stage. At the start he jumped the youngster classes but after only one year Ehning advanced him to classes at the 5 star level, like the Grand Prix at the Global Champions Tour in London. In 2013 and 2014 with Marcus Ehning, he achieved good results in 7/8 year old classes, then two seconds in 2014 – at Paderborn***, 1.50m class, and in the Grand Prix at Dortmund ***. Comme Il Faut’s bloodlines are interesting since his dam, the great jumper, Ratina Z, is by Ramiro.

Comme Il Faut was very active and successful in sport in 2018. He won the qualificative Grand Prix of Chantilly with Marcus Ehning. The duo also placed 2nd at the Nations Cup of Rotterdam representing Team Germany. Also in 2018, Comme Il Faut’s offspring, Chao Lee, became Bundeschampion for Jumping Horses and won a prize of over one million Euros.

His Sire, Cornet Obolensky, is one of the most famous sires of our time. He competed in the 2008 Olympics at only nine years old. His outstanding offspring include Cornet D’Amour, Cornado NRW, Cornet’s Cristallo, Cocoshynsky, Cornetto King, and Comme Il Faut. Together they have earned over 3.7 million euros. The Clinton/Heartbreaker cross has produced multiple grand prix jumpers including Cordess and Consul DL Vie Z, and 18 licensed stallions.

His dam, Ratina Z, is one of the most famous and jumpers of all time. She won back-to-back team golds at the Barcelona and Atlanta Olympic Games and also won individual silver from Barcelona. She won the World Cup in 1993 and the Grand Prix of Aachen in 1996, team gold at the World Championships in Den Haag in 1994 and double gold at the European Championships in Mannheim 1997. Ratina’s sire Ramiro Z was a successful competitor with more than 60 licensed sons.

Dam Sire: Corofino II

Corofino II is from an internationally successful family by the champion sire Corrado I.

Corofino II has an outstanding European jumping record with 10 wins and placings at international level. He has also won and placed at National 4* level. He came to NZ with a total of 28 wins and 105 placings. He jumped over 90% clear rounds and continued that form here winning World Cup Qualifiers with Katie McVean.

His family includes his brothers Corofino I, sire of Russell and Corlato (Olympians); Camiros (Grand champion at approvals); his mother’s brother, top ranked sire Coriano (by Corrado); his mother’s sister’s son, the very popular Crawford (by Corrado); and also directly from this family is Diarado (also Grand Champion at approvals).

Corofino II has had many internationally successful progeny, some of his most well known here in New Zealand include Windermere Cappucino who was the winner of the World Cup Series multiple times in recent years, and McCaw MVMZ who is now campaigning very successfully in Canada and America at 1.45m+ with Katie McVean.
